At Visiting Orphans we seek to connect churches in the United States with orphanages abroad in order to assist the church in fulfilling the biblical mandate in James 1:27, to visit orphans in their distress.

We believe that the greatest way to combat the orphan crisis around the world is to help mobilize the church.  That's exactly what we do.  We have orphanage partners in China, Ethiopia, El Salvador and Honduras who need the love and support that a church in the United States can provide.  We also do all the ground work that most churches do not have the time or resources to do so that the church can most effectively use their resources to assist orphans.

We also believe that it is vital that we work to move children out of institutional orphanages and into loving homes.  We ask our church partners commit to this same goal while at the same time helping to provide for their daily physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

We believe that every child has the right to a loving family.  It is God's true design for the upbringing of children.   Yet currently 148 million children around the world have been denied that right.

We are looking for partner churches whose congregations and leadership are committed to serving and building long-term relationships with specific orphanages in the countries we serve.  We want to move from the "orphanage building" mindset to a "orphanage destroying" way of thinking.  We want to get every child out of the orphanages we work with and into loving families.
